WHAT DOES A DEAD RABBIT THINK ABOUT FASHION F/W 2016-17 Jana Nedzvetskaya (LO, JN)
Long before this fashion show, Moscow’s fashion world had been pondering: what is the next extraordinary idea Jana would come up with in the new season?

Her last underwater show, Harmageddon. Psalm 36:29, has amassed more than 20 million views already, and the counter keeps ticking at about 1,000,000 views a month. It is widely covered in the press worldwide and the most popular Internet resources, from Fashion TV and Vogue to Ocean Reality.

Everyone was looking forward to this season’s show by the most trendy, restless and flamboyant Russian fashion designer Jana Nedzvetskaya, titled What Does A Dead Rabbit Think About Fashion, which promised to be just as striking.

As promised, the new show did take place in a cow shed.

The glamor world pays too much attention to fashion and the hype that surrounds it. Meanwhile, for 99% of the people on this planet fashion is nowhere near the first – or even the second – priority. The idea of What Does A Dead Rabbit Think About Fashion is to try to show that everything in this life has to be taken with a touch of healthy irony. Most of the people on Earth cannot care less about fashion and everything that happens around it.

So, what does a dead rabbit think about fashion? Even a live rabbit probably couldn’t care less, let alone the dead rabbit, that definitely would not have a chance to think about fashion – or anything else, for that matter. Jana Nedzvetskaya – Russia’s not so much flamboyant but rather thoughtful and intellectual fashion designer – is trying to convey exactly that.

Jana uses unexpected clothing solutions in her every collection. Oftentimes she experiments with innovative applications of traditional fabrics. This happened with sweatshirts. Three seasons ago Jana was the first to use patterned Chanel woolen fabrics for sweatshirts, instead of classical suits. Jana was also the first to make see-through sweatshirts with complex applique patterns commonplace.

The strong point of Jana’s collections is a concealed delicate sexuality and amazingly sensual femininity.

Simple and clean silhouettes, precisely proportioned coats of white and flesh-colored neoprene fascinated all the viewers.

Trendy culottes, also made of seemingly unacceptable fabrics for this type of clothing, occupied a special place in the collection.

Jana has achieved the effect she wanted – a paradoxical combination of the beauty and elegance of her garments and utility the show venue boosted the emotional perception of the entire collection.

Jana’s clothing will be on display at her JN boutique, with some items being available for sale in one or two sizes; the entire collection will also be available in five sizes at any of the 23 stores in LO chain in all large cities of Russia, or ordered online from anywhere in the world at shop.misslo.com. This news will definitely come as a pleasant surprise to all fans of JN and LO brands.
